DataWeek Join | Learn | Share | 19 May - 9 June 2022

Data Week is the spring gathering of the European Big Data and Data Driven AI research and innovation communities and co-organised by Big Data Value Association and the EUHubs4Data project. In Data Week, the participants share knowledge and results, discuss topics of common interest, find synergies, build new collaborations and identify new challenges and recommendations.  Data Week also links the communities and their results to the European policies and market needs and brings European initiatives and activities closer to local communities. This year, Data Week 2022 will take place during a period of 3 weeks. An online opening event will kick-start the activities on the 24th of May.

The BD4NRG project will be represented by Massimo Bertoncini (ENG) & Vangelis Marinakis (NTUA) at the Data Week online session entitled “Paving the Path Towards Energy Data Spaces” which will be held on June 1, 2022.

Today, the energy sector is undergoing a profound and fundamental transition to an energy-efficient, more decentralised, renewable energy-based and interdependent system. The need for “end-to-end” coordination between the stakeholders of the electricity data value chain has never been greater, not only in terms of business transactions but also in exchanging data, in order to safeguard energy networks’ stability and resilience under increased decarbonization terms.

In this context, this session aims at investigating how the data-driven innovation and sharing potential across the energy data value chain can be unleashed by leveraging data and intelligence coming from diverse energy actors. The session will be focused on providing demos, and sharing knowledge, perspectives and experiences on Secure Data Management and Data Interoperability; Trusted Data Sharing; Data and AI Data Marketplaces; and (Descriptive/Predictive/Prescriptive) Data Analytics.
