BD4NRG Open Call Winners

Announcing the Success of the BD4NRG Project Funding Initiative: Eight SMEs Awarded!

After a competitive application process involving 20 proposals from 12 EU and Associated nations, the BD4NRG project is excited to announce the selection of 8 innovative projects for funding. These eight proposals passed our comprehensive evaluation process, which was conducted by a panel of 18 BD4NRG consortium experts.

The successful applicants, all Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), are now underway to develop their pioneering services and tools under the BD4NRG banner. Their objective is to create ground-breaking solutions and prototypes under BD4NRG's main domains: Electricity Network Operation (BD4-NET), Distributed Energy Resources (BD4-DER), and Energy Efficiency in buildings (BD4-ENEF).

The funded proposals address the following four key experimental areas:

Topic #1: Enhancing efficiency and reliability of electricity networks operation

Topic #2: Grid and distributed assets optimization

Topic #3: Energy efficiency investment planning

Topic #4: Cross-cutting applications

Our SME recipients are spread across Europe, with the €467,634.50 total funding supporting projects from Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Portugal, Italy, and France.

We are excited to introduce you to the eight funded projects:

Moving forward, the BD4NRG Consortium will support these successful applicants through a 6-month programme. Each participant will receive up to €60k in equity-free funding, free coaching, and access to top-tier infrastructure.

BD4NRG technical experts are mentoring these 8 SMEs, with a final showcase planned at the conclusion of the development phase to highlight their successes and their integration within the BD4NRG framework.

Stay tuned for upcoming information about our eight winners and their transformative services and tools!
